Andrew Walker, Ph.D.is a 30-year-plus veteran of the semiconductor industry. He was with Philips Research Laboratories, Eindhoven, The Netherlands, Cypress Semiconductor, Artisan Components, and Matrix Semiconductor. He has been active in the area of MOS transistors, volatile and nonvolatile memories since the 1980s. His interest in 3-D Flash memory technology started in 2000. He founded Schiltron Corporation in 2005 to investigate and develop new 3-D Flash technologies. Andy joined Spin Transfer Technologies in 2017. He has over 40 US patents to his name. He graduated in Physics from Dundee University in Scotland and gained a Ph.D. in microelectronics from the Technical University of Eindhoven, The Netherlands.
