Fourteen years in existence, 3D InCites has been through some changes, from being a basic blogging platform focused only on emerging 3D integration technologies, to the full-blown heterogeneous integration community it is today.
We don’t only talk about technology – we play a role in making it happen. Our podcast audience is growing. We’re fostering initiatives that are important to the global semiconductor and microelectronics industry. These include sustainable semiconductor manufacturing; diversity, equity, and inclusion; and addressing the talent shortage.
Our 60 member companies that span the spectrum of the microelectronics supply chain focused on advancing heterogeneous integration, 3D ICs, chiplets, and more. Beyond manufacturers and suppliers, we’ve got data analytics specialists, inventory management specialists, industry organizations, research technology organizations, and marketing agencies.
Therefore, to better serve this growing community, we’re making some changes at 3D InCites that we’ll be announcing over the next few weeks.
First order of business, we’ve refreshed our Technical Advisory board to better reflect our missions and our membership. We renamed it the Member Advisory Board, and invited our regular bloggers and representatives to serve in permanent roles on the board:
- Phil Garrou, Microelectronics Consultants of North Carolina
- Dean Freeman, FT Market Analysts
- Julia Goldstein, JLFG Communications
- Steffen Kröhnert, ESPAT Consultiing
We also invited representatives from our membership to serve 2-year terms on the board:
- Jan Vardaman, Techsearch International, Inc.
- Beth Keser, IMAPS
- Manuella Junghähnael, Fraunhofer IZM
- Clemens Schütte, EV Group
To learn more about our new 3D InCites Member Advisory Board, check out their impressive bios here.
I’d like to thank the outgoing board, many of whom served since we first got started in 2009, while others joined in 2013. Many changed roles in the industry during their tenure, some left the industry, and others retired. We appreciate all their input over the years, and will always consider them to be an important part of the community.
