Happy New Year and welcome to the new 3D InCites community platform! We marked 2019 by celebrating our tenth anniversary, so it seems appropriate to kick off the next decade (for the world and us) with a new look and feel for our website.
You all may remember the blog post I wrote in August, about the need for companies to support their electronics industry publications. That inspired us to look closely at 3D InCites to see how we could help you do that, while also acknowledging our peers in publishing.
What emerged was the realization that 3D InCites is more than just another online publication. Indeed, when we first conceived 3D InCites, our goal was to become a community platform where companies could share their achievements. But becoming a community doesn’t happen overnight. It takes time to build trust.
Over the past 11 years, we have kept you up to date on the latest technology drivers and industry trends, we have engaged with you at industry events, shared your stories, reported on your achievements, and awarded your technology advancements. Most importantly, we have built relationships with you and helped you form critical connections. We have designed the new 3D InCites Community website to reflect just that.
A Home Page That Reflects Community
In addition to the same great content from our regular bloggers, Phil Garrou, Herb Reiter, and yours truly; guest blogs from a host of industry experts, and 11 years of archived articles and white papers, you’ll find Recommended Reads curated from other industry publications and bloggers including Chip Scale Review, EE Times, i-Micronews, SemiEngineering, Semiconductor International, Semiconductor Digest, Max’s Cool Beans, and more.
You’ll also find a Video of the Week and a Podcast of the Week (either company-sponsored or our pick). Our Events Calendar will include not only media partner events but also those being held by our Community Members. Our goal is to be a hub of heterogeneous and 3D integration information. You’ll want to bookmark the home page and come back often to see what’s up.
The 3D InCites Community Membership
Most importantly, we created the 3D InCites Membership program. So far, 18 companies have invested in this option. We will be showcasing them over the next few weeks. Among the many benefits of membership, these companies will have their own profile on 3D InCites where they can post company news and will be featured throughout the year in weekly rotation on the home page. They can share their news, events, job opportunities with the community, and we’ll be sharing their posts on our social media platforms.
