It’s that time of year again! With SEMICON West just over 2 short months away, we’re ready to launch the 2017 3D InCites Awards.
The 2017 3D InCites Awards will be presented on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, during SEMICON West, in a ceremony at the Impress Lounge, (located above Moscone North). The ceremony will be followed immediately by a cocktail reception to benefit this year’s designated charity, the G1ve A Buck Fund, a non-profit organization devoted to funding research to find Kid Size Cures for childhood cancers.

I’m going to be blunt here. We hope to raise a lot of money for G1ve A Buck and we are counting on your support. Why? Because while pharmaceutical companies fund 60% of adult cancer drug development, they fund 0% of childhood cancer drug development. As a result, in the past 20 years, the FDA has approved only three drugs specifically to treat pediatric cancers. Here’s why we think this is so important, and here’s where the money will go.
As you know, the 3D InCites Awards has never been about generating revenue for the website, and always about raising money for a worthy cause. We feel that this is the most important one yet. Nominations are Now Open
Along with expanding the scope of 3D InCites to cover heterogeneous integration (HI), we’ve extended the 3D InCites Awards to also include HI. Do you know of a person, product, or company that deserves recognition for a significant contribution to the advancement of the heterogeneous roadmap including 3D packaging, interposer integration, advanced fan-out wafer level packaging, MEMS and sensors, and full system integration? Now is the time to nominate them for one of the most coveted awards of the year. Check out the categories here.

Like last year, there is no nomination fee; however, as part of our fundraising efforts, we are accepting individual donations. After you submit your nomination, just fill out the donation form and contribute to our cause. In the spirit of the G1ve A Buck mantra; “Give a buck, change the world..” any amount will help. Whatever the amount, your donation will gain you access to the benefit cocktail reception and will be acknowledged on a sign on display during the event.
